Located on the south side of Atlanta City, Hyatt Marrieta's main clientele is corporate office outstation staff who use the hotel during the week and leave before the weekend. The primary design goal was to create spaces that would attract local community members, garnering a second stream of revenue, transforming the hotel into a local destination hot spot.

The outdoor pool area is identified as the main attraction, which is designed to market the place as a family destination location. Outdoor Cabanas with increased deck areas are proposed as well as an existing restaurant that is extended into the outdoors. Existing trees are maintained and native groundcovers are proposed in order to resolve the existing site erosion issues.

Porte Co Chere is proposed to make the landscape more welcoming by adding water feature and interesting paving pattern. Car park retaining walls are proposed to be treated by 'Greenscreen' in order to make them more attractive from the road.
